In my area, there are many natural lakes. Many are shallow and dry up in the summer, while others attract birds. The Beuven is the largest natural fen in the Netherlands and a hotspot for many bird species.

A very special place is the Biesbosch, just an hour’s drive for me. Exploring this area early in the morning on a whisper boat is truly a unique experience.
